Abhi Bhaakri..

This is another of my favourites in breakfast menu, and very easy to make also..


Udad dal - 1 cup
Green chillies - 2
Ginger - 1/2 inch
Coconut grated - 2 tbspns
Curry leaves - 8
Salt - to taste


- Soak the udad dal at night.
- In the morning, grind the dal to a thick consistency.
- Add the rest of the ingredients ( all finely chopped ) and salt and make the dosas.

I served this with Mint chutney, made as follows...


Mint leaves - 1 cup
Grated fresh coconut - 1/2 cup
Green chillies - 2 to 3 big ones
Tamarind - 2 to 3 medium pieces ( have shown in pic )
Ginger - 2 inch piece
Salt - to taste


- Grind all the ingredients together and add salt as per taste.
- Tadka is optional here, with mustard seeds, udad dal, hing and curry leaves.

This dosa is so different for me. Just urad dal ? no rice to grind ? Should definitely try this. Looks yummy with chutney.
